Obituary for Marjorie Timmons

Marjorie Timmons, 95 of Webster City formerly of Duncombe, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Stephen Meyer, officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Duncombe. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Foster Funeral & Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Marjorie Ann Steinmaus, daughter of Joseph and Ida Gannon Steinmaus, was born April 5, 1924 in Webster City. She graduated from Duncombe High School and Tobin College in Fort Dodge. Marjorie was united in marriage to Gerald Timmons on May 29, 1943 in Indianapolis, Ind. The couple resided in Duncombe. They enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida and Arizona.
She is survived by her children, Gene and Linda Timmons of Webster City; Tom and Kathy Timmons of Murray, KY; Diane and Mike Frizzell of Shawnee Mission, KS; grandchildren, Nancy Timmons, Douglas Timmons, Glenn Timmons, David Timmons, Michael Frizzell, and Suzanne Lewis; great-grandchildren, Alex and Tony Anderson, Noah Timmons, Alden and Eloise Timmons, Peyton and Hannah Lewis; and sister, Mary Lou and Robert Fleak of Springfield, MO.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents; siblings, Paul Steinmaus, Ina Wills, and Chuck Steinmaus.
She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Duncombe. Marjorie also was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Duncombe.
