Obituary for Marilyn Snider

Marilyn Snider, 81, of Webster City died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Lighthouse Ministries Church in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery, south of Seymour. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Marilyn Ann Clark, daughter of Levi and Mary (Everman) Clark, was born July 22, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Seymour High School. On August 22, 1958, Marilyn was united in marriage to Bennie Myrl Snider in Seymour, Iowa. Marilyn had worked for 15 years for the New Castle Inn, was a floral assistant for Rosalie, and as a site monitor for Iowa Central Community College for six years before her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bennie of Webster City; son, Tim (Brenda) Snider of Stanhope; daughter, Linda (Greg) Hazzard of North Chesterfield, VA; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Clark of Albia; sister, Janet Seals of Centerville and many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Clark.
She was a member of Lighthouse Ministries Church in Fort Dodge. Marilyn spent many hours crocheting, painting, and helping Bennie with his wood carvings. She enjoyed playing the piano and reading. Marilyn was an activist who was passionate about Wildlife Preservation and Native American rights. She loved to work in her gardens and flowerbeds.
