Obituary for Margie L Eller

Margie Eller, 79, of Webster City died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Southfield Wellness Community. A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City with a luncheon to follow in the church social hall. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with serving Margie and her family.
Margie Louise Christian, daughter of Morris “Hap” and Marie (Schaumburg) Christian, was born November 11, 1944 in Clarion. She grew up on a farm and attended country school and Thor elementary school. The family moved to Webster City when she was in 7th grade. Margie was involved in Glee club, chorus and 4-H. She graduated in 1963 from Webster City High School and attended DMACC. She worked for Bourns, Inc in Ames for 25 years. Margie was united in marriage to Fredric Paul Eller on March 21, 1970. The couple resided in Story City. After her husband’s death, she moved back to Webster City in 1998 to be near family. She worked for Electrolux until its closing. At age 66, Margie was very proud to further her education at Iowa Central Community College and complete her associate degree and graduate from Buena Vista University – Fort Dodge Campus with a bachelor’s degree in social services. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and had a love for cats.
She is survived by her brothers, Marty (Shelley) Christian of Webster City and Mark Christian of Fort Dodge and several nieces and nephews.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Fredric in 1988; her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Isobel Christian and sister-in-law, Terri Christian.
