Obituary for Madeline A Watts

Madeline Watts, 81, of Webster City died Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. A graveside service will be at 10:30 am Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo.
Madeline Audry Carpenter, daughter of Irving and Gennie (Wilson) Carpenter, was born December 12, 1940 in Waterloo. She attended school in Waterloo. On January 11, 1960 Madeline was united in marriage to Donald Reuben Watts at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. To this union six children were born. The couple later divorced. Madeline was a busy mother and worked several jobs in Ellsworth over the years.
She is survived by her children, William (Beth) Watts of Ellsworth, Allen (Sharon) Watts of Ellsworth, Ann Gardner of Webster City, Angie (Richard Nelson) Watts of Ellsworth, Dwain (Erica) Watts of Story City; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; brother, Robert Carpenter of Waterloo; sisters, Connie, Donna, Margaret and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Mark Watts; great-grandchildren, Sylvia and Ava; siblings, Marlene Hanson, Sandy Watts, Shirley Kugel and Irving Carpenter Jr.
