Obituary for Jory Lanken

Jory Lanken, 32, of Kamrar died Saturday, July 2, 2022 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Jory Joseph Lanken, son of Joseph and Pamela (Froh) Lanken, was born May 25, 1990 in Webster City. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton Schools in 2009. On November 11, 2011 he was united in marriage to Britney Ann Struchen in Webster City. Jory worked for CornFed Construction, Pickle’s Pub and Ingraham Construction. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Kamrar Fire Department.
He is survived by his boys, Jeven and Joel Lanken and their mother, Britney Lanken of Des Moines; parents, Joe (Julie) Lanken and Pam Lanken all of Kamrar; brothers, Jaric Lanken of Williams, JJ Lanken of Kamrar; sister, Jaeden Lanken of Kamrar; uncle, Jason Lanken of Clarinda; aunts, Susan Fraga-Valenca of Wisconsin, Connie Oberg of Fort Dodge; great aunts, Linda (Gary) Besaw and Chery (Bob) Roosa all of Webster City; grandfather, David McKay of Wisconsin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don (Shannon) Struchen of Woolstock; brothers-in-law, Perne (Erin) Struchen, Tanner (Michaela) Struchen and sister-in-law, Cortney Struchen.
Jory was preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer and Ida Lanken and Kathy McKay.
