Obituary for Johnnie Luppes

Johnnie Luppes Jr, 92, of Webster City, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend joined his wife and life partner, Sharon, in heaven on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
Johnnie Luppes Jr, son of Johnnie and Pearl (Meyer) Luppes, was born November 20, 1930, on the family farm near Kamrar. He attended country school through 8th grade and then helped farm with his father. Johnnie served in the United States Army from 1949 - 1951. On January 7, 1955, Johnnie was united in marriage to Sharon Mae Caquelin at the Woolstock Methodist Church. Johnnie and Sharon farmed for many years in the Blairsburg area. They enjoyed life together, wintering in Mesa, Arizona for 22 years, vacationing to France, watching Bob and Scott race and attending the events of their grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Sutherland of Blairsburg; granddaughters, Sheri (Scott) Olson and Julie (Luke) Brandel both of Blairsburg; great-grandchildren, Charlee and Jax Olson, Kylee Olson, Knox and Alyx Brandel; sister, Aretta Muxfeldt of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; son-in-law, Bob Sutherland; siblings, Verl Luppes, Orville Luppes, Kenneth Luppes, Iona Hoversten, LaVonne Hanson and Lois Nixon.
