Obituary for Janet Bullock

Jan Bullock, 76, of Webster City died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. Burial will follow at South Marion Cemetery, southeast of Stratford. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Janet Rae Widmann, daughter of Waldo and Evelyn Frakes Widmann, was born August 3, 1946 in Webster City. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1964. On July 25, 1964, Jan was united in marriage to Larry G. Bullock at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Webster City. Besides being a very busy mother and wonderful wife, Jan worked numerous jobs over the years – Hamilton County Courthouse, United Coop, JC Penny, the American Red Cross, Pagel Window and Doors and Webster City Medical Clinic. She also owned and operated Jan’s Sewing Center downtown Webster City.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry; children, Larry Bullock Jr of Stratford, Troy (Missy) Bullock of Elkhart, Theryn (Eden) Bullock of Fort Worth, TX, Amber (Mark) Widick of Kamrar; grandchildren, Jacob, Morgyn, Emma, Bert, Bea, Annie, Lane, Evelyn; sister, Shirley Pruismann of Webster City; brothers, Roger Widmann of Iowa Falls, Randy (Karen) Widmann of Vancouver, WA; sister-in-law, Bobbi Widmann of Flasher, ND and many nieces and nephews and foster children.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen (Bob) Kist; brother, Jerry Widmann and brother-in-law, Darwin Pruismann.
She was very active in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Christians In Action, TTT, a founding member of the Hamilton County Fair Foundation, and 4H leader and judge. She enjoyed sponsoring the Quilt Show at the College each year along with TTT. Larry and Jan enjoyed wintering in Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Hamilton County 4H.
