Obituary for James Seiser
James Seiser, 74, of Webster City died Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Southfield Wellness Community. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
James LeRoy Seiser, son of William and Irene (Simpson) Seiser, was born September 22, 1948 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. He was united in marriage to Shirley I. Miller on August 3, 1968 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. He worked many years for Electrolux, Condon’s Service in Boone and enjoyed mowing many yards.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley in Webster City; children, Shane (Stacy) Seiser of Nevada, Jennifer (Troy Worthen) Seiser of Story City, Jamie (Robin) Seiser of Webster City; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Lorilee) Seiser of Webster City and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Seiser; brothers, Roger Seiser and Bob Seiser.
He was a member for the American Legion Posts 191 and the Moose Lodge in Boone. He enjoyed fishing, going to the races, scratching Lotto tickets and most importantly time spent with family.
