Obituary for Junior Brim

Junior Brim, 82, of Williams, died Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Van Diest Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williams with Father Stephen Meyer and Father Rick Dagit, officiants.
Gerald Junior Brim was born July 30, 1936 in Jewell, the son of Gerald and Clarice Martin Brim. He graduated from Blairsburg High School and attended Spartan School of Aeronautics (ANP Tech and Gas Turbine Technical school). Junior served in the United States Army for three years. He married Charlotte Frances Crilly on October 14, 1961 in Williams. Junior worked at Webster City Products before managing and owning the Boondocks Truckstop business for several years. He then worked at Arrow Acme and Hemmen Storage and retired from Frigidaire in 2000.
Junior is survived by his wife, Char of Williams; children, Michelle (Tom Rosenbloom) Brim of Fernly, NV; Sonya (Noel) VanDeer of Adair, Anthony (Melissa) Brim of Honolulu, HI; grandchildren, Kelsey, Derrick, Isaac and Gavin; brother, Ernest “Bud” (Alice) Brim of Blairsburg; sister, Patricia Ann Brim of Blairsburg; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Ratzke of Williams, Rosemary (Earl) Lehmann of Wadena, Sis Crilly of Arlington; brother-in-law, Richard Bradley of Sedalia, CO; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mickey Anthony Brim; brothers-in-law, Donald Crilly, Richard Crilly, Thomas Crilly and Avery Ratzke; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Bradley and Mary Crilly-Stanley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frances and Thomas Crilly.
Junior was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, coached little league, played softball for Williams Merchants and St. Thomas Aquinas and delivered meals on wheels. He enjoyed fishing, gardening on the acreage, and woodworking, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Later in life he found a love for reading.
