Elton Tempel, 89, of Kamrar died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Windsor Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at First Presbyterian Cemetery, east of Kamrar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Elton Tempel, son of Joe and Hilka (Welp) Tempel, was born October 27, 1931 on the family farm south of Kamrar. He attended Kamrar school until the 9th grade. Elton was united in marriage to Deloris Mae Downs on May 28, 1954 in Webster City. They had two children, Stephen and Susan. He had worked for ASCS for 8 years and Electrolux for 32 years.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Kay) Tempel of Kamrar; daughter, Susan (Steve) Hammen of Schaller; grandchildren, Elton (Jennifer) Konradi, Lance Konradi, Kevin Konradi, Scott (Teresa) Tempel, Michael (Sara) Tempel; great-grandchildren, Ian Konradi, Ave Konradi, Luca Konradi, Phoenix Tempel, Bailey Baker; sister, Ruth Anderson of Iowa Falls.
Elton was preceded in death by wife, Deloris in 2015; his parents; grandson, Jesse Konradi; six brothers and their spouses; four sisters and their spouses; brothers-in-law, Ernie Anderson and Art Downs and many extended family members.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kamrar.
