Obituary for E. Loyce Hopkins

Loyce Hopkins, 89, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2020 at Windsor Manor in Webster City, Iowa. A private graveside service will be held with interment in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, with Matthew Jensen and Shari Connelly presiding.
Edith Loyce Hopkins was born September 6, 1930 near Clearwater, Nebraska, the youngest child of Clyde and Bernice (Johnson) Hopkins. When Loyce was 9 years old her mother died, and she grew up with her four older brothers and their father. At age 13, Loyce chose to serve the Lord and continued with her faith the rest of her life.
Loyce worked as a nurse in Yankton, South Dakota before starting in the ministry in 1955. She continued her mission work in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois until two years ago when her health declined.
Loyce is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Crandall and Clinton, sisters-in-law Esther and Elda, step-mother Bessie, and step-sister Darlene Petersen. She is survived by her brother Keith, in Webster City, and brother Duane, in Chile, sister-in-law Ruth, in Oregon, step-sister Catherine Kolp, in Kansas, and step-brother David (Daisy) Kolp, in Texas, 17 nieces and nephews and their families, and many co-workers and friends who all appreciate her kind ways.
