Dean Anderson, age 78 of Webster City, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Van Diest Medical Center. Per
Dean’s wishes, private family services will be held. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted
with caring for Dean and his family.
Dean Alert Anderson, son of Olaf and Mary (Jensen) Anderson, was born March 6, 1944, in Webster
City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1963. Dean served in the 133rd Air National Guard.
On August 21, 1965, Dean was united in marriage to Teddy LaRue Kepler at the Church of Christ in
Webster City. The couple resided on the family farm where Dean farmed for many years until his
retirement. Dean enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Teddy; daughters, Gina (Mark) Smith of Mound, MN, Wendy
(Jim) Bryan of Webster City, Stacey (Chad) Ihle of Maple Grave, MN; grandchildren, Inga and Gunnar
Smith, Taylor Bryan, Grace Swenson, Leah and Ava Ihle; siblings, David (Shirley) Anderson of Boone,
Sharon Johnson of Algona, and Steven (Ruth) Anderson of Boone.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Dean’s memory to the Webster City FFA, PO Box 10,
Webster City, IA 50595.
