Obituary

Bonnie L. Habhab, 83 of Webster City passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Crestview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 9, 1936 to Paul and Margaret Brim.
Bonnie grew up in Webster City where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Abbas Habhab Jr. on June 6, 1954, where they met and attended the Church of Christ. They were the first couple to be married in the newly built church on Des Moines Street in Webster City. They were happily married for 59 years. From this union came four children: Jeff, Abby, Amy and Nathan. Bonnie was always a faithful follower of Christ. As well as being a long-time member of Church of Christ she was also a member of the Community Church of Kamrar.
She loved spending time and visiting with her friends at the Senior Center and enjoying Congregate Meals. Different times of the week you would find her doing what she loved best, playing Bridge or off to Bingo. Bonnie also enjoyed traveling with her husband as he did many government building projects throughout the United States. She worked for many years for Iowa Miss and Mrs., Daily Freeman Journal, and Electrolux.
Bonnie spent winters at Fiesta Village in Mission, Texas from 2015 – 2018. She would look forward to this time to come so she could leave the Iowa cold weather and be able to spend time in the warm weather of Texas with her family and friends who also winter there.
She was preceded in death by her husband Abbas, in December 2013; her father, Paul Brim; mother, Margaret Lyle Brim; a great-granddaughter, Emma Jones; brother-in-law, Ron Hemmen.
Bonnie is survived by her four children: Jeff (Deb) Habhab of Webster City; Abby (Jim) McBride of Kings Mountain, NC; Amy (Dan) McBride of Bowling Green, KY; Nathan (Angie) Habhab of Chesterfield, MO; seven grandchildren, Matt, Jacob, Sadie, Zach, Josh, Jennifer and Bryce; ten great-grandchildren, Lucas, Melayna, Julien, Isabell, Ava, Alex, Jax, Tenley, Austin, Emberlyn; one great-great grandchild Clara; sisters, Leila Hemmen of Webster City, Betty (Paul) Willingham of Champlin, MN, Brother, Lyle (Marlene) Brim of Cedar Falls.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Senior Citizens Center or W.C. Congregate Meals, 749 2nd Street, Webster City, IA 50595
