Obituary for Bennie Snider
Bennie M. Snider, 88 of Webster City passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Richmond, VA where he was currently living with his daughter. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Lighthouse Ministries in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Genoa Cemetery, south of Seymour in June. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Bennie Myrl Snider, son of Samuel and Myrtle Stroud Snider, was born May 27, 1934 in Corydon, Iowa. He graduated from Seymour high school in 1952. Bennie was united in marriage to Marilyn Ann Clark on August 22, 1958 in Seymour. He worked many years for Wright Tree Service, Haggie Manufacturing, and the City of Webster City as a service lineman prior to his retirement. Bennie enjoyed wood carving, fishing and helping others.
He is survived by his son, Tim (Brenda) Snider of Stanhope; daughter, Linda (Greg) Hazzard of North Chesterfield, VA; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Miles Snider of Centerville; sisters-in-law, Helen Snider of Corydon, Janet Seals of Centerville; brother-in-law, Bobby Clark of Albia and many extended family.
Bennie is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in 2021; his parents; brothers, Milo Snider, Bill (Marilyn) Snider, Harold (Donna) Snider; sister-in-law Alberta Snider and brother-in-law, Larry Clark.
