Obituary for Barb Caruth
Barb Caruth, 79, of Webster City, died Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Flagg, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Barbara Jean McIntyre, daughter of Lyle and Grace (Kennedy) McIntyre, was born October 4, 1940 in Hamilton County. She graduated from Lincoln High in 1958. On November 12, 1961 Barb was united in marriage to Gerald E. Caruth at the Church of Christ in Webster City. Barb had worked for Goodyear Tire and KQWC radio, along with helping her husband farm.
She is survived be her husband of 58 years, Gerald; son, Mark (Mary) Caruth of League City, TX; daughter, Cheri (Jeremy) Caruth of Dakota City; grandchildren, Whitney Caruth, Cody Caruth, Kaci Garrison, Kyle (Sheridan) Garrison, Kaylee Newkirk; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Jaxon, and Cooper; sister, Joyce Peterson of Webster City and many extended family.
Barb is preceded in death by her son, Brad Caruth and parents, Lyle and Grace.
