Obituary for Arnie Lovelace

Arnie Lovelace, 91, of Webster City died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Southfield Wellness Community. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Arnold Dean Lovelace, son of Cecil and Thelma (Downs) Lovelace, was born on March 28, 1930 in Webster City. He attended Webster City Community Schools. On November 24, 1951 Arnie was united in marriage to Nola May Grove in Waterloo. He served in the Army National Guard from 1951 -1956. While residing in Webster City, Arnie worked for Franklins and Carnation Milk. The couple moved to Mason City, where he owned a pest control business for 17 years. After retiring, Arnie and Nola moved back to Webster City.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Nola; son, Rick (Shirley) Lovelace of Webster City; daughter, Janna (Gary) Johnson of Waukee; grandchildren, Josh (Emily) Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Brooke (Philip) Hundling, Tara (John) Mullins; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Sanderson, Ryder, Wrenley, Hadley, Camden and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Arlette, Peggy, Don, Jerry, and Jack.
Arnie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a past member of the Elks Club and the Moose. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, traveling and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
