Obituary for Albert Middleton

Albert Middleton, 94, of Webster City died Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Southfield Wellness Community. Graveside services will be held at 1:45 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery, Section 32. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center prior to the burial.
Albert James Middleton, son of James and Emma (Hansen), was born March 1, 1927 in Washington, Nebraska. He attended Woolstock School. Albert served in the United States Army during WWII in Germany. On March 25, 1949 Albert was united in marriage to Virgil May Dingman in Leon. He worked for Hart Carter, Naden Industries, and the Green Thumb program at Briggs Woods.
He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Hilpipre of Woolstock, Marsha (Bruce) Pressler of Eagle Grove; grandchildren, Sheri, Brian, Sara, Nick; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Tyler; sister, Shirley Hillyer of Webster City and many extended family members.
Albert is preceded is death by his wife, Virgil May; his parents; son-in-law, Denny Hilpipre; siblings, Harold Middleton, Wilma Tubbs, Elena Jansen, Helen Tubbs, Paul Middleton, Allen Middleton, and Francis Middleton.
He was a member of the Methodist Church in Woolstock, a 65 year member of the American Legion Post #191 and a long time member of the Birthday Club. He participated in the initial Brushy Creek Honor Flight out of Fort Dodge. He enjoyed fishing, small appliance repair, watching the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
