Edna Martha Kennedy

Edna Kennedy, 102, of Webster City died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Webster City. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Tom Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Fosters.
Edna Martha Thiele, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Frederick) Thiele, was born November 17, 1910 in St. Louis, MO. She married James J. Kennedy on September 3, 1942 in St. Louis MO. In 1947 the couple moved from Missouri to the Ellsworth-Jewell area. James passed away on June 15, 1983. She moved into Crestview in August 2002.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Helga) Kennedy of Story City; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, James Kennedy and her sister, Mildred Scovill.
She was a member of Federated United Church of Christ of Jewell.
