Our deepest sympathies at the death of your Dad. May the Holy Spirit give you His Comfort, Peace and Strength during this time of grief and mourning. blessings from all the Minnesota Wings.
Our condolences to you all. We lived in Merle’s neighborhood many many years ago but can recall the greetings as we walked by his home. Can also remember his caring for our vehicles with his mechanic skills and feeling thankful that we could trust him in that area. Of course, we are most grateful for the faith we share in Jesus Christ and being members of St Paul’s with him. Fast forward almost 30 years that we’ve been away from Iowa. Touched base with Merle through social media. He’s one of those people that God used to touch our lives and the lives of so many others. Praise God that Heaven is now his Home and one day we shall reunite!
I will miss one of the sweetest men you could ever know and will miss seeing him in church in every Saturday night. May God bless you both and now Merle is very much where he knew he would be, with our loving Lord!.
Merle was a trusted friend and mechanic for my dad, Leonard Johnson, who lived in WC and died in 2010. Rest in Peace, kind man.
We have so many wonderful memories of good times with your folks. Camping, square dancing, come as you are brunches, and visits in general. There was nothing he wouldn't do for you. A one of a kind man and he will be missed dearly.

Merle will always hold a special place in my heart. He worked for my dad, and my dad had the had the highest regard for Merle’s abilities and even more importantly, his integrity. As a little girl growing up visiting my dad’s business, Merle always took time to give me smile and a kind word. That meant a lot to me then, and even more now.
